Description of activity: A leader furniture company in Turkey, İstikbal Furniture, Industry and Trade CO. manufactures spring mattresses (twin, queen and king size beds), linens (bed linen sets, duvets, comforters, pillows, baby collections, bedding) and polyester fiber in its Kayseri facilities under the brands of Istikbal and Bellona and sofas, sofa sets and box springs in its Adapazari facilities under the brands of Istikbal and Bellona.

 

The products manufactured in Istikbal Furniture facilities are sold in 1589 sales points through 16 main dealers, 847 centrooms, 372 showrooms, 201 sample stores, 128 secondary dealers, 17 Dreamland stores, 24 House Concept stores. Special production targets the tourism sector through hotels and resorts as well as public institutions.

 

Istikbal Inc. is the biggest bed manufacturer in Turkey among brand names, with a share of 40% in the Turkish market and 15% in the home textiles market.

 

The company is a member of the Turkish Turquality support platform and it has successfully joined international fairs in 2009.

 

From 2009 onwards, the company has adopted a forward-looking management approach based on profitability, sustainable growth, and performance-based management. Underway since 2007, the transition to process management system was completed in 2009. We have begun to reap the rewards of the six-sigma project carried out as part of the project. As of the year-end 2009, 69.7% of the white collar and 9.2% of the blue-collar employees work within the six-sigma projects.
